What is the point of Short Stories, Anecdotes, and Real Life?

For months, Short Stories, Anecdotes, and Real Life’s focus is story and storytelling. The heart of the blog is that storytelling can and does change the world, and this creative writer hopes the reader will see creativeness and inventiveness in each narrative. Masterful storytellers like Asimov, Tolkien, and King build connections into their worlds, a sense of stylistic flair, and a need for their characters to come to life for their readers.

Like most authors and creatives, mine is a fully-lived life of adventures, some terrifying, others exhilarating, and most downright dull. But each of these experiences comes to life in a piece of narrative, a creative slant from a different perspective, or an amalgamation of all of the above. But whatever is written is unquestionably mine, created and drafted long before fingers tap away at a keyboard.

Grappling with a day-to-day existence, with dysfunctional leaders in roles they shouldn’t have, is it any wonder I am frustrated as a citizen of Planet Earth and a United States citizen?

Telling a story and writing is like someone who loves numbers working as an accountant. Moving numbers from one cell to another in Excel is as natural as breathing for the logical-brained person. For me, picking the right words to express ideas is like that; it’s a breath away.

So whilest the narrator is struggling to get the words on the page, for you, dear readers, I hope you continue to enjoy the writing in this space.

And, if you have any ideas or something new, you’d enjoy seeing on the screen in front of your very eyes, leave a comment. I’m ready to try something new. A new adventure awaits you (and me!)
